Make sure your ring is covered the right way...

An engagement ring is one of the most important and valuable purchases you will ever make, so you will want to ensure its properly protected with a good quality insurance policy. At Assetsure, we have access to a jewellery insurance policy that has been specially designed to insure single precious items. Cover is arranged on a Worldwide All Risks basis which includes accidental damage, theft and loss.

Engagement Ring Insurance

Assetsure Engagement Ring Insurance ensures your most precious and valuable items are fully protected up to your chosen sum insured, on a new for old basis. You will be protected against: loss, damage, theft, loss of stone and items are insured worldwide giving you complete peace of mind. As specialist jewellery experts we have access to insurance, especially designed to cover valuable items. We offer an excellent service whether you choose to take on insurance online or by calling our service centre which is open 6 days a week.

Insurance cover especially designed for Engagement Rings

Over time and with constant wear, the biggest fear with Engagement Rings, is that the settings will become loose and the stone will be lost. The diamond forms the bulk of the value in the ring and an insurance policy will cover the actual physical loss of the diamond. In the event of a claim, we will liaise with the insurers who will endeavour to obtain a diamond that is as close to the original as possible.

What types of engagement Ring will we insure?

We will consider providing insurance for any type of Engagement Ring that you decide to acquire, this can range from a traditional diamond ring or a modern design featuring synthetic diamonds which are becoming more popular

Traditional Diamond Rings
Classic diamond engagement rings are timeless symbols of love and commitment. They typically feature a diamond as the centrepiece, often set in precious metals like gold or platinum. These rings can vary in size, shape, and quality of the diamond, but they are universally valued. A good jeweller will be able to discuss with you the various attributes of a diamond and explain how they are graded by the various laboratories that provide a diamond grading service.

Vintage or Antique Rings
For something a bit out of the ordinary, vintage, or antique engagement rings have historical significance and unique designs that make them cherished heirlooms. These rings may feature intricate filigree work, coloured gemstones, or distinctive settings. Vintage or antique rings are not always the easiest to replace and are often acquired through inheritance. If you are the owner of one, or are thinking of acquiring one, please make sure you have an up-to-date valuation to ensure you will have an adequate sum insured to obtain a replacement in the event of loss.

Custom Made Rings
Many couples opt for customised engagement rings to reflect their individual style and preferences working closely with a particular jeweller to obtain exactly what they want. These rings may include personalised details such as engraved messages, unique settings, or unconventional diamond shapes. Your sum insured should take into account the specific design and craftsmanship involved in creating a one-of-a-kind piece as in the event of a loss, you will want it remade to your design specifications.

Gemstone Rings
While diamonds are the traditional choice for engagement rings, gemstone rings featuring sapphires, rubies, emeralds, or other coloured gemstones are becoming increasingly popular. These rings offer a distinctive look and may appeal to couples seeking something non-traditional.

Synthetic Diamond Engagement Rings
With advancements in technology, synthetic diamonds, also known as lab-grown or artificial diamonds, have gained traction in the jewellery market. These diamonds offer the same chemical composition and physical properties as natural diamonds but are typically much more affordable. As the trend of choosing artificial diamonds for engagement rings grows, we are happy to provide insurance for them.

Regardless of the ring's style or composition, insurance provides protection against loss, theft, or damage. We will be happy to supply you with a quotation to provide the insurance cover your need.
