Floods: Insurance Implications
- The last few weeks have seen almost unprecedented weather conditions
in the United Kingdom with many areas severely effected by flooding and the
clean up operation still in full swing. With reports of further bad weather on
the way many homeowners are very worried about possible damage to their homes....

Helping your building cope with rainwater

All many parts of the United Kingdom have
suffered some severe flooding in the last few weeks, result in large
scale damage and some pretty hefty repair bills. Other parts of the
country have also experienced very heavy rain fall and whilst most
have been lucky to escape flood damage, many homeowners are finding
they are experiencing property damage caused by the large volumes of
water that are falling in short spaces of time.

Counting the cost of the recent Floods

With the clean up under way, both
insurers and homeowners are beginning to count the cost of the extensive floods
that hit the United Kingdom in June & July. The Norwich Union, one of the UKs
leading insurers has suggested that its costs for the floods were likely to
reach 340 million pounds.
7th August

In conjunction with being able to offer insurance for Holiday Homes in
both the UK and abroad, Assetsure have decided to implement a
Free property advertising section to their website.
Whilst it was initially envisaged that this system would mainly be available to
Holiday Homeowners, it is proving so popular that the software has recently been
upgraded to allow search for virtually any property type, anywhere in the world.
