Holidays and Travel -
the United Kingdom is a fabulous place to take a holiday
and residents of the country find a never ending supply of towns and country
regions to visit each year. Persons who live in the United Kingdom tend to take
holidays either in the countryside or at any one of a number of coastal
resorts. Accommodation in holiday areas varies from Hotels to Bed and Breakfasts
right through to self catering Holiday Cottages. In many of the Holiday hot
spots, cottages have been snapped up by second home owners who often make them
available for rent during some of the months of year and these are very popular.
Favourite destinations include Devon & Cornwall, Norfolk and the Lake District.
Although the weather in the United Kingdom cannot always be guaranteed to be
good, the scenery at our top holiday spots can be quite breath taking and there
are always plenty of outdoor pursuits to keep most people happy. Persons visiting the United Kingdom from abroad tend to
visit one of the major cities at least on their first visit, as mentioned
above, if you come from abroad and are looking for a beach holiday then the
United Kingdom would not be your first chance, large numbers of Uk residents
even take beach holidays abroad where there is more of a guarantee of good
weather. Our seaside resorts are quite quaint but you certainly won't find the
waters surrounding these islands to be that warm.
Without doubt , London is the favourite destination of overseas visitors and
2006 saw a record number of visitors coming to the capital. The city is very
large and has a never ending supply of attractions such as the Tower of London,

United Kingdom in which you can take a holiday. Although in many you will find
the architecture to be similar , they are all different , often the result of
centuries of development and usage.

architecture. Brighton, a town on the South Coast of England has a fine pier and
